Our famous Leathewood trees (Eucryphia Lucidia and the alpine Eucryphia Milliganii) are unique to Tasmania, found mainly in the pristine rainforest of the rugged West Coast many in World Heritage areas far away from any form of pollution, urban or industrial. It is light amber in colour with a distinctive spicy piquant flavour.
